Mattress Firm Donates Blankets to Patriot House

Mattress Firm, one of the nation’s leading specialty mattress retailers, announced that its Dallas Central store locations in Dallas, Texas donated thirty-two throw blankets to Forth Worth’s PATRIOT HOUSE on June 12, 2009.

60” x 70” OVERSIZED THROW BLANKETS DONATED Recently, all MATTRESS FIRM stores sold their oversized throws to customers for $9.99 (A value price of $39.99). For each throw sold, they matched that purchase with one oversized throw blanket donation to local charities in need. Mattress Firm’s Dallas Central locations chose PATRIOT HOUSE for all blanket donations.

PATRIOT HOUSE is the newest addition to Presbyterian Night Shelter’s 5-acre campus. PNS operates one of the most successful veterans’ transitional housing programs in the United States, working in partnership with the Veterans Administration (VA). Thirty-two veteran facilities are available in the recently opened PATRIOT HOUSE. The VA recognized the need to serve more homeless veterans and provided a grant for partial funding of the PATRIOT HOUSE. The new building co-exists with the previously built thirty-six veteran facilities within the Main Shelter.
